What do you mean? They’re not broken. We don’t need sigs! We’re better than that. (I think).

Hey Sly, don’t bother if it’s too much trouble, but is there a way we could hit a button and see just topics bookmarked & stickied?

About the main site...list format looks bad. Motto is awesome, though.
  5.

Main site’s claim to fame: snarky webmaster.

But in the motto, am I wrong in saying that I think there should be an ellipse or a dash or a colon or something between ‘...bad writing’ and ‘preferably…’?

Gah, so… the website is in an inbetween phase of two different designs merging, so it’s probably entirely useless. I need to get this done quickly before I destroy everything that was nice in the world.

  7.
Looks okay. Sorry to be a party-pooper. I like the old one; it wasn't so black. But then again, I really really hate change. The crow looks cool, but I just don't get what it has to do with anything.
  8.

Crows have an impish quality to them.

Also, I really hate it when people say they hate change in a site’s layout. Some people will bitch and moan about any change in a site calling for the old one to come again and making a huge deal about it. Then, a week later, ask them what the site used to look like and they’ll have forgotten already and moved on.

Ok, something’s weird: The forum logs me out automatically if I leave the site alone for, I’m not sure, maybe half an hour or so, it’s been doing it all day. I put my laptop in sleep mode fairly often, and whenever I turn it back on I’m logged out. I played a full-screen game for an hour earlier, and when I came back I was logged out. I spent 30-odd minutes reading Artimaeus’s short story and commenting on it, and by the time I was ready to click ‘add your comments’, the site had logged me out! Thankfully, it didn’t delete the comment in-between my logging in and trying again. This isn’t a problem with any other site I’m a member of, so I don’t think it’s a problem with my browser.

EDIT: Ok, so it was the ‘Remember Me’ checkbox that needed to be checked, though it doesn’t make sense why it unchecked itself in the first place, because it used to be checked. So still, wtf.

My second point still stands though.

For that matter, why does the text in the comment box get deleted if you refresh/move away from the page? In every other forum, you can go away and back to the comment page at any time without losing the text you already entered, but on II you can’t even refresh the page without losing what you’ve written. What gives?

  27.

Ctrl+A, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V (preferrably into Wordpad or something of the sort).

    Problem solved.

  28.

Actually I just ctrl+c, and ctrl+v it back when I’m on the page again. It’s still tedious, especially if I happen to forget to copy it before moving away. The other day I lost a huge post because of that. It just doesn’t happen anywhere else, so I don’t see why we have to put up with it here.

That’s an unfortunate side effect of the more advanced log in system this forum has.

You might have noticed on DEM that if you start reading it over again on a new computer it doesn’t remember what threads you’ve read. which is why you need a mark all as read button. Here, no matter where you log in from, it’ll remember. But as a consequence weird stuff can happen with log in time outs (for security reasons, mostly). I suspect what is happening in your case is that you have a dynamic IP address that is getting changed by your ISP. The forum will log you out if your IP changes like that.

  29.

Where is the mark all as read button? A screenshot would be helpful!
