The resident videographer, Komedic created a series of videos explaining why certain books should be thrown across the room (with great force, as it were).

Hi, everyone, and welcome to Thrown With Great Force.
Thrown With Great Force is a series of audio reviews hosted by Youtube, devoted to lampooning cheesy, badly-written, yet inexplicably popular young adult fantasy novels. As you’ve probably guessed by now, it’s in a similiar vein to other snarky internet critics like the Nostalgia Critic, Linkara, The Spoony One, and the Angry Video Game Nerd, but differs in that its subject matter is not a visual medium (though there are slideshows accompanying the narration to spice it up).
First up, of course, is Eragon. So far I’ve done three episodes, each around 13-14 minutes long, and split into two parts (because Youtube won’t host videos more than 10 minutes long). I’m almost a quarter of the way through the book. I originally intended to post one new episode per week, but a combination of extreme laziness and schoolwork has made living up to that deadline nigh impossible. However, once my exams are over (which they will be come the end of June) I’ll have tons of free time, which I plan to largely spend on this series, meaning I’ll finally be able to make updates as regular and consistent as wanted.
The series has a LiveJournal page here.

Much shorter than usual – only one part this time.

Hi everyone, I’m back!
I’m taking a break from reviewing Eragon for a while so I can start a fresh spork. This time, it’s going to be a lot more contraversial, since I understand that the book in question (The Amber Spyglass, by Philip Pullman) is quite popular with this community. If you have any objection to my criticisms of it, don’t be afraid to raise them.

Note: This video deals with what is perhaps the book’s most controversial aspect: God getting offed. Yes, THAT God. Feel free to state your opinion, but keep it civil, and try and stay on topic: I don’t want this to be derailed into a debate.

Hi, everyone.
Thrown With Great Force is back after a long absence; Episode 2 of my Twilight spork has finally been uploaded onto Youtube.
Note that although it’s called Episode 2, it’s actually part 1 of the review, since Episode 1 didn’t contain any actual sporking, and was just the set-up for the framing device.
Not a lot of people saw Episode 1, so check it out first if you haven’t already.
I appreciate any feedback (for both vidoes).
