Even better – alphabet-letter-shaped.
WE DIDN’T START THE FIRE!

Even better – alphabet-letter-shaped.
EPIC.
Classic.
In both senses of the word.
Why thankee.

EPIC.
You misspelled “Eric” – that’s the book where the reference is from.
;-)
Back on topic…Uptown Girl won’t leave my head.
She’ll say I’m not so tough…
Curse that song.
Curse Westlife.
Curse boybands in general.
Hear! Hear!
^Preach it, brother!
In other news:
Dressed me up in women’s clothes
Messed around with gender roles
Dye my eyes and call me prettyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I don’t think that song was ever meant to be taken seriously, but damn, it’s catchy.
It’s also awesome.
Bach’s Sonata for Flute in C. I’ve been humming it ALL DAY.
You and I, Lady Gaga.
I….actually like this song. It’s fairly catchy, and apparently she can sing when she’s not auto-tuning the hell out of her voice.
But now it’s stuck in my head.
AHAHAHAHAHA. Your acceptance of Gaga amuses me. Try youtubing Lady Gaga acoustic. She’s done acoustic covers of most of her songs. They are awesome. Also, check this out.
If you like You and I, you would probably like Speechless and The Edge of Glory. Check them out :)
I didn’t know Speechless was here, either.
I can’t believe I’m actually listening to The GaGa.
...
I’m so ashamed.
(I can’t get to youtube here, but I’ll try and remember to look stuff up when I go to school).
Edge of Glory is also awesome.
I really like ‘The Lady is a Tramp’. If you watch the video, you can tell how much fun she’s having. It’s kind of cute, actually.
apparently she can sing when she’s not auto-tuning the hell out of her voice.
Oh, definitely. There are recordings of her out there when she was in college, before she was famous. I never heard much auto-tune in her music because she has such a weird voice, but maybe I’m just missing it.
And don’t be ashamed. My music of choice is heavy metal and I still think Gaga’s awesome. (Although interestingly enough, Gaga herself is a fan of acts like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, and the Alice Cooper influence is obvious.)
^I still think Poker Face is her best song.
Not just because it put her on the map, not just because back then she had no competion from folks like Kesha or Jessie J (who I personally like, actually – she’s cute and she has a great voice), but because it’s just that good.
It’s poisonously catchy.
Its lyrics are easily heard in some places, but kind of “blurred” in others – ensuring that you have to google them before you can sing along, and thereby seperating the true fans from the haters.
It utilises what I call the “hard beat”: a bass beat that almost takes over the song itself, burning its way into your brain and pretty much changing the whole atmosphere of the surrounding area. Other songs that use this are Bad Romance, Blow (Kesha), Sweat (Snoop Dogg) and Sexyback (Justin Timberlake).
Actually, I don’t like Pokerface all that much. It’s just…eh, for me.
Double post FTW
Although interestingly enough, Gaga herself is a fan of acts like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, and the Alice Cooper influence is obvious
She’s also a pegasister.
This amuses me.
@SWQ – no worries. :) The world would be very boring if we all liked the same stuff.
Maybe it’s just cuz I tend to associate her with annoying teenage girls who are trying to be cool (because I’ve known too many of those, and they ALL like GaGa’s music).
My inner hispter is dying, haha.
My inner hispter is dying, haha.
As is my pretentious metalhead.
New Favorite Song: I’m Not Jesus by Apocalyptica and Corey Taylor
So I admitted to my best friend that I kinda like GaGa. She was like: “You know I’m going to mock you forever, right?”
Ah, what are friends for? :p But hell, if I can be won over, I can surely win her over. Right?
Right?
RIGHT!
My friends were excited because they knew who Gaga was, (usually they haven’t even heard of the bands I listen to). :(
I don’t know if anyone know’s that Lowes commercial where the house comes apart?
Home/ is where you are/ Home/ is where you want to be
That’s it.
She’s… she’s a brony?!
Oh man. I kinda liked her before (she does have a beautiful voice and she’s very pretty when she’s not covered with Kermit heads), but… this might push me over the top.
Wait- Gaga’s a brony? Explain!
...oh. Okay then!
Interesting how Rarity’s the only one with her body still attached.
she’s very pretty when she’s not covered with Kermit heads
Agreed.
Rewatch the music vid for Poker Face for proof.
I miss when she looked like that.
Interesting how Rarity’s the only one with her body still attached.
Yeah, that is… interesting.
On the one hand, I’m a little creeped out (especially by the first pic, cause she looks like she’s about to eat them), but on the other: she’s one of us, man.
BROHOOF, GAGA! SHINE ON, YOU CRAZY CREATURE!
I miss when she looked like that.
She still can pull it off, sometimes. Evidence?
Yeah.
I, uh, really don’t like the hair, but other than that she looks cute.
Edit: Never said she couldn’t, BTW. Just said that I wish she would.
I actually didn’t like Gaga’s party-girl image during her first album. I think she looks better now, but that’s up to taste, I guess. (I also like the turquoise hair.)
if the bombs go off the sun will still be shining/cause every mushroom cloud has a silver lining.
Owl City is so catchy.
I like the turquoise hair, too, although I wouldn’t wear it myself.
^I’d rather have a T-shirt.
Or fluffy stuffed toys.
Toys that are accurate to the show, that is.
What I don’t get is why there’s no Zecora toys yet. I want one. So badly.
The Mane 6 have some decent, relatively accurate toys out, at the very least. The ones with molded manes, anyway; I don’t really like the ones with “brushable” manes because they don’t look right. Although the Rarity one in the Lady Gaga picture looks fairly accurate.
...yeah, so I spend way too much time on ED and have read like all the posts about pony figurines. Shaddup. :P
Yes, Zecora is awesome.
She’s like Batman combined with Snape, except psychic.
And now HP hardcores will remind me that Snape actually is sort of psychic.
Oh okay. But like I said, I want a fluffy stuffed version. Preferably Twilight Sparkle, but I’m not fussy.
Hey, no judging here. I’m the guy who foamed at the mouth when he searched five clothes stores and didn’t find a single FiM T-shirt. What, am I seriously gonna have to order a bunch of them one over the internet?
We live to serve.
^ Well played. Well played indeed.
I saw it coming, though.
So? She has a superb sense of comedic timing. I see a bright future as a member of our little stand-up act for her.
I must agree.
Much potential, she displays.
sniff I will try to be worthy of such praise.
Both heard the song and saw the video for Video Games by Lana Del Rey. Can’t get either out of my head now. Also can’t decide whether I really like it or not. It’s one of those songs that are very…haunting.
John Lennon’s Imagine. It’s like wired into my frontal lobe.
Damm! Now I have to go and watch three hundred different covers of it on YouTube in hope of finding an original, and then replay it over and over
Something by the Beatles. George Harrison is, in my opinion, the best songwriter in the band.
I love A Perfect Circle’s cover of Imagine more than the actual song, to be honest. It transposes the song to a minor key and the video shows how we’ve failed to live up to the potential that Lennon dreamed of. Also, Maynard James Keenan has a better voice than John Lennon.
/hides from raging Lennon fans

Lying From You.
Another thing to YouTube.
The Hetalia theme song is stuck in my head. It. Won’t. Leave.
Tell me again was it love at first sight?/I walked by and you caught my eye/Didn’t you know love could shine this bright?/Well smile because you’re the deer in the headlights—Owl City.
Stuck in my head: It Will Rain. By the same guy who said he’d let himself explode to bits for a woman.
I have a mix between Rebecca Black’s “My Moment” and Lady GaGa’s Marry the Night stuck in my head.
Yellow Submarine.
Two edited songs for dancing: Neverland (U-Kiss) and I Got My Eye on You (Nari, Milani, someone else feat. someone else).
Pleasestopplayingoverandoverinmyhead
Rebecca Black’s “My Moment”
...so she actually made more than 2 songs?
What does this one sound like, then?
If it’s a strong earworm, I’ll get it and then play it…
sunglasses
at every opportune moment.
YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
What does this one sound like, then?
It’s on youtube. go fetch.
It’s…less annoying than Friday but still awful.
Here, I’ll be cruel and make you watch it.
I mean, good on her for following her dream, and all that, but she’d probably do better as an actress, or TV presenter. She was kind of funny in Katy Perry’s video.
It Will Rain is still stuck in there. I hate you. Go away. NOW
Under and Over It by Five Finger Death Punch.
If reality came with a soundtrack, I’d want this in mine.
I feel like this is relevant
A compilation cd of songs that get stuck in your head… but just the parts that get stuck in your head.
Songs That Get Stuck In Your Head
I want it.
‘Makes Me Wanna Die’- The Pretty Reckless
This wierd thing is happening to me where I’m merging the lyrics of ‘Bigger the figure’ by Louis Prima with ‘savages’ from Pocahontas, so basically I keep hearing ‘She’s exactly like a watermelon/big and round and sweet/her skins a hellish red/ they’re only good when dead’ It’s really wierd.
Selling the News, off of Switchfoot’s new album.
I wanna believe you/I wanna believe/But everything here’s in between/The fact is fiction/The fact is fiction/I wanna believe you/I wanna believe/But everything here’s in between/The fact is fiction/Suspicion is the new religion
I can’t keep my hands to my self, self, se—
GYAAAAAHHHH GET OUT OF MY HEAD ALREADY
Damn that guy’s fascinating voice.
Oh, I have a strange conglomeration of Owl City lyrics to the tune of Nightwish’s “Last of The Wilds”. It’s strangely, remotely entertaining… and also disturbing.
And so Javert you see it’s truuuuuue,
This man bears no more guilt than yooooooou!
Who am I?
Who am IIIIIIIIIIII?
TWO-FOUR-SIX-OH-OOOOOOOOOOONE!”
ahem. Yes, it’s a very good song.
TWO-FOUR-SIX-OH-OOOOOOOOOOONE!”
I love the way Colm Wilkinson makes that line an unearthly shriek of Awesome.
Who am I is one of my favourites from Les Mis, and Valjean’s Confession, which is to the same tune, is equally as awesome. I wish it was on more than two recordings.
Miss You by Foster The People.
I thought I’d be sick of it by now, but this song is so much of fun! :D
It’s been drumming around in my head all day.
But I don’t mind! :D
Deathbed, by Relient K
It’s a good song. But it WON’T Leave.
Heavyweight, by Infected Mushroom. I’ve been listening all day and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
‘Walk Through the Fire’ from the Buffy musical episode.
I listened to this song days ago and it’s still stuck in there.
The wonderful drumming’s gone and now I’ve got some wailing by Passion Pit stuck in my head. It’s pissing me off.
Dammit, I thought I hated this movie, and now I don’t.
What movie is that? A Bollywood film? I’m actually quite curious to watch it now…
Yeah, it’s a Bollywood film called Devdas. The story is kind of stupid (stupid man drinks himself to death, is somehow loved by two kickass women) but it’s gorgeously shot.
I’ve never actually been that into Bollywood films- the only one that I’ve ever watched is Bride and Prejudice, but I might start watching them. Thanks!
Bride and Prejudice
BWAHAHAHA
Sorry.
I don’t like Bollywood all that much but it’s pretty good entertainment if you turn your brain off.
(No amount of brain bleach, however, will make B+P tolerable.)
Yeah, it kind of put me off watching them. I actually had to go and watch P&P straight afterwards to make sure that it wasn’t ruined for me.
And right now MJ’s Bad is stuck in my head. Whose bad?
It’s like I’m a traitor to my culture or something if I don’t watch them.
BENEDICT.
Haha, I’m the same way. I have a few guilty, nostalgic pleasures, but that’s about it.
Songs stuck in my head: All of my favourites, one after the other!!! It’s distracting me terribly, but it’s a good distraction so I’m really not bothered! :D
Bride and Prejudice is not Bollywood. It is Indian actors in a Hollywood movie. Indian Superman is Bollywood.
God Thinks/Stuck with you~ Voltaire
... They both are immensely amusing and involve drowning cute small animals of the fluffy variety.
I was bangin’ seven-gram rocks, that’s how I roll
WINNING!
I had one gear: go
EPIC WINNING!
Are you bi-polar?
I’m bi-WINNING! Win here, win there, win everywheeeere-eeeere.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD, CHARLIE SHEEN.
Swimming in the Flood by Passion Pit.
I’m not complaining, though.
Si Beg si More, this old celtic tune. Mum’s band keeps playing it, and the CD is playing it. It’s ridiculously catchy.
Everything from Phantom of the Opera is stuck in my head.
Bon Iver – Blood Bank
I love this song because, even though I first heard it only recently, it sounds incredibly familiar. And I don’t mean unoriginal. There are few songs that can get you feeling nostalgic when you’ve never even heard them before.
When it gets to this part:
You said, “Ain’t this just like the present
To be showing up like this”
As a moon waned to crescent
We started to kiss
And I said I know it well
That secret that we know
That we don’t know how to tell
I’m in love with your honour (I love this line)
I’m in love with your cheeks
What’s that noise up the stairs, babe?
Is that Christmas morning creaks?
something changes in the song during that whole bit and I’m not quite sure what it is because it doesn’t bring up a particular memory, but it’s reminding me of something. It keeps tugging at the back of my mind. It’s so confusing and wonderful at the same time. It’s just a good song.
It was King Rat, by Modest Mouse. Then I saw the word association thread, and it suddenly changed to this.
Just Glue Some Gears On It (And Call It Steampunk).
Anyone heard of Chaphop? It’s hiphop, sung by people pretending to be proper English gentlemen.
Best song title ever.
Asslesschaps-hop needs to be a thing just sayin
I’m addicted.
Summer Time Gone by Mai Kuraki.
Taku, that song is going to be stuck in my head forever.
Today I’m gonna try a little harder
Gonna make every minute last longer
Gotta learn to forgive and forget
‘Cause we don’t have long, gotta make the most of it
Today I’m gonna love my enemies
Reach out to somebody who needs me
Make a change, make the world a better place
‘Cause tomorrow could be one day too late
Your time is runnin’ out
And you’re never gonna get it back
So make the most of every moment
Stop saving your best for last . . .
It’s a great song (Skillet rocks!) but I’m afraid I haven’t applied the message very well. Still there are worst things that could be stuck in my head. Some of the songs at dance class come to mind.
Got part of an incredible soundtrack from a videogame playing in my head, but I can’t for the life of me remember what game it was. If only I could find it then I could download the thing and listen to the rest of it and make this headache go away. ‘Cause right now it’s just this one sequence going on in a loop.
Empty Chairs at Empty Tables is stuck in my head.
“Oh, my friends, my friends, don’t ask me…”
sob
GET OUT OF MY HEAD YOU ARE MAKING MY HEART ACHE
