In no particular order, for me, they are: Eddie murphy, Chris rock, Russel peters, Richard Pryor, and my token white guy is...Jim Carrey

Eddie Izzard ftw. I was so disappointed when I couldn’t get to his west end show back in December.

Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Demetri Martin, Kyle Cease and my favorite, Mitch Hedberg .

Yeah I watch a lot of stand up. And Comedy Central doesn’t have their specials on its website.

Stephen Fry. Paul Merton. Rowan Atkinson. Hugh Laurie. Simon Pegg. Nick Frost. Lenny Henry.

    Pretty much the usuals.

And I’m disappointed that I can think of only a few good comediennes. Man, guys are just funnier. Was watching QI the other day, and it had some woman on, and I just wanted to kick her out. She wasn’t funny, and unsubtly dragged the answer into a very unrelated area.

    Anyway, Dawn French, at least.

  3.

Dawn French, her husband who was in Chef!, Patricia Routledge, screw it, all the actors in British comedies.

In addition, I like Rita Rudner and Ellen DeGeneres.

In British comedies, I like the 'little britain' duo: david williams and matt lucas. fucking hilarious, they are...
  4.

I am surprised nobody mentioned Dylan Moran yet. “Monster” and “Like Totally” will send you rolling on the floor. I also love Rowan Atkinson, as was already said, The Umbilical Brothers, and, naturally the Pythons:)

  5.

    Ah, yes, dear old Rowan.

Best TV show ever: Blackadder checks into Fawlty Towers…

Anyone ever heard of Red Skelton?

  6.

Oh yeah, Rowan Atkinson is also BOSS.

  7.

MR. BEAN! And anyone seen Spider Plant Man?

  8.

Anyone ever heard of Red Skelton?

Yes! Only ever listened to the radio show, though – I’ve only seen snippets of the TV one.

  9.
    My favorites:
Pat McManus (not a stand-up, but hilarious writing. Only if you live in semi-rural areas, though. Otherwise...you just won't understand)
Rowan Atkinson, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Mike Birbiglia (For the most part), Bill Cosby, Hugh Laurie
There are a few others, but their names elude me at the moment.

    Black Books!

    Bill Bailey!

  10.

I don’t really watch/read/listen to comedy, but my brother likes Brian Regan and my dad likes Jay Leno.
