Deborah, I love that soundtrack! And the film was so good!! :D
Oh Lately It’s So Quiet by OK Go
Whoops, it just ended.
Now it’s I Can Talk by Two Door Cinema Club
You’re right, Brave was awesome. I love how it was set up as a traditional rebellious-princess movie, but then it subverted it. My other two favorites from the soundtrack besides that one are “Touch the Sky,” and “Learn Me Right,” though I like the other tracks too, especially “The Games,” and the music that plays when Mor’du appears at the ruin.
Prologue—Steven Curtis Chapman.
Everlong- Foo Fighters
I suddenly am loving this song, although I always really liked the title.
There’s not a lot of sad music that can actually make me happy.
Collide—Skillet
EPIC GUITAR MUSIC.
Barton Hollow—The Civil Wars.
I love this song.
Fat Bottomed Girls, Queen.
I like this song waaaaaay more than I should.
Almost There—from The Princess and the Frog
I’m in Love With my Car, Queen

Ah, Princess and the Frog! Naveen is one of my favourite Disney princes!! :D

Ailee is definitely one of my favorite artists.
You don’t need autotune when you have raw talent and pure singing power.
Stumbleine – Cassette
Best song on the interwebs.
I guess I’ll leave this here. Every Major’s Terrible
That was pretty awesome!
I just keep repeating it.

Arvo Part. I love his music so, so much. If you like spiritual music or minimalism I really recommend him.
That was really good. I’ve never heard of him before but I really liked that piece.
All music is spiritual to me.
I like that Welcome to the Machine is in the related videos.

2112 by Rush, thanks to Nossus’ icon.
Rush is playing in my state on the 18th. I really want to go, but a ticket would be $112 and it would be 40+ dollars in gas to get there and back and of course I have to buy a t-shirt so that’s another probably $40… but fuck, they are one of my absolute favorite bands and I love their new album and really wanna see them.
Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Essáy & CoMa – Deceptive
Mask by JUNIEL
Gold—Owl City

I ended up getting a ticket. The show is in 10 days and I am stoked.
But this is what I’m listening to: The Garden by Guns n’ Roses
The song is ridiculously catchy though.

It’s In His Kiss — Betty Everett
SHOOP SHOOP SHOOP
Missing You by G-Dragon
Probably my favorite song from his new album.
headbanging to The Prophet’s Song by Queen.
Heyyyyyyyy sexy lady!
Gangnam Style by Psy
I have absolutely no idea what this song is about. But the video looks like LMFAO got dumped in a blender with classiness and Korea. AND IT’S SO CATCHY.
I read an interesting article about that song the other day; apparently is a surprisingly subversive critique of South Korean economic elitism. Gangnam is a wealthy suburb, where everyone is or acts like shallow and image-obsessed. E.g. there’s a reference to a joke that a Gangnam lady will spend $2 on noodles, but $6 on coffee just for the sake of appearance.
I have absolutely no idea what this song is about.
I’m still completely taken by surprise every time I see someone horse-dancing around campus.
apparently is a surprisingly subversive critique of South Korean economic elitism.
And it’s not subtle at all either. I hope eventually the fame the song has garnered worldwide will spur people to actually look at what the song is about, because there’s rather more to it than just a silly dance.
Not likely. Everywhere outside of Asia it’s simply known as the, “open condom store” song. Or the “Oppa” ( twitch ) song.
BUT THERE’S SO MUCH MORE
Anyway I’m listening to Urban Zakapa, feeling happy.
I say boom boom boom, let me hear you say waaaayyooooo…
Someone played it on a livestream I was watching and now I can’t stop listening to it. Curses.
I keep hearing it as Oppai Gundam Style.
Songs of Colored Love by Winterplay
I’ve been on a Clint Mansell/Kronos Quartet kick.
“Invaders Must Die” and “Omen” by The Prodigy
Merce – My World
That voice. <3
“Underhanded Romance” by Scissors for Lefty.
Countering a stressful week with jelly beans and nostalgic music.
Rock and Roll Waltz, by Kay Starr
A Love Worth Waiting For, by Shakin Stevens
Send it in a Letter To You, also by Shaky
etc. etc., but those three are my favourites tonight.
O-o-oh!
I want you to know that I took a rainbow
And sent it off in a letter to you.
Took some flowers in the spring
made a sweet clover ring
And sent it off in a letter to you.
Took a song from the lark – the moon from the dark
A spark with the sparkling dew.
With a kiss and a hug and a whole lot of love
I sent ‘em off in a letter to you.
I Will Wait, by Mumford & Sons
Owsey – I’ll Remain Under Our Antique Sky
Hoot by SNSD
Well, at least one of those scenes is durring the middle of a war.
Are there still any Nightwish fans on this forum? Opinions on Vocalist Switch 2.0?
I am, but I haven’t heard much of their new stuff—I have almost all of their stuff from before 2007 or 2008, but nothing after that. I hadn’t heard about the latest development, though. Interesting.
(FWIW, I never cared about the original switch anyway. I liked Tarja, I liked Anette, I’ll probably like whoever they get next. This is likely because I started listening after Tarja was gone anyway.)
Never Change – Amp
Doradora – U-KISS
Power and Warrior – B.A.P
Also, for some reason, Crayon by G-Dragon keeps cracking me up. I swear, he must be seriously high in the MV.
Sizzlebird – Light at Sunrise
4AM by IU
I really like Last Fantasy so far.
I have listened to the memetic Gangnam Style. It wasn’t bad.
Now, lovely K-Pop fans, where do I go here from here?
Devil Town
Essáy & Stumbleine – Rhiannon
Tracks of My Tears — Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
Hammock – Ten Thousand Years Won’t Save Your Life
Elo Method – Enter The Heaven’s Door
Am I the only person who thinks that ‘Toxic’ might be pretty good if it were sung by someone other than Britney Spears?
Really digging Lazerhawk. Especially King of the Streets and Overdrive
It’s like 80’s synth meets techno.
Awesome.
I’ve been listening to a lot of BIGBANG recently. Taeyang, GD and T.O.P. are such badasses.
As Long as he Needs Me, from Oliver
:(
Poor Nancy
Taeyang, GD and T.O.P. are such badasses.
Well, they do a good enough job pretending to be.
