    Forgive Me by Infected Mushroom

  1.

This is the most sickening song I’ve ever heard=

The lyrics (the best I can make ‘em out):

  2.

Well, she’s pretty much a baby, so that’s somewhat excusable.

  3.

Well, she’s pretty much a baby, so that’s somewhat excusable.

    It’s still sickeningly sappy.

It was always my favorite montage song, but then my cousin told me who was singing it, and it became… still my favorite montage song, but by a wider margin.

Has anyone here listened to Coheed and Cambria? I just discovered them the other day and I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts on them. I think the whole graphic-novels-based-on-albums thing is a pretty cool idea.

  18.

I just don’t like the vocalist at all. The graphic novels thing sounds cool, but if I hate a vocalist, that’s a deal-breaker for me.

I learned to play Welcome Home back when I was starting up on guitar. But yeah, the singer’s voice irritates me. Got to the point where I practiced with the karaoke version of the song. I dunno. Reminds me of Axl Rose, and I can’t stand him either (get me stoned around here, I know).

TBH I wasn’t aiming for an ad hominem. I know nothing of his personal habits or lifestyle, I just don’t like the sound of his voice. And it’s not just him. All high-pitched male singers annoy me to some extent. The guy from Coheed and Cambria, the guy from Smashing Pumpkins, the guy from Silversun Pickups. A few of them I can put up with, others I can’t.

  21.

Well, there’s a guitar riff and then there’s a guitar riff, if you follow me. Fuzzy Rickenbacker power chords and a screechy, overdriven Les Paul solo are two different animals.

Okay, I exaggerate slightly, but not much, I'm not slagging Mom or anything, but she hates Metallica, AC/DC, Megadeth, GNR, Soundgarden, Judas Priest, Skynrd, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Sabaton, basically she hates everything I like with a few exceptions.

    The original 1970 version.
    Because Murray Head kicks ASS.

For some reason, the 1973 film reminds me a lot of Hair.

And I think Gethsemane is the best song that the Rice/Webber collaboration ever wrote. My favourite version of that song is Colm Wilkinson’s, though. Even though he never played Jesus. But it was the first version I heard and I haven’t found one I like as much since.

SWQ already suggested Halestorm, so. . . In no particular order:

Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Guns 'N Roses, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC, Sabaton, The Eagles, Iron Maiden (yes, I like it now), Dio (_definitely_ one you should take) and some of the Queensryche I've heard wasn't too bad, in fact Silent Lucidity is a beautiful peace.
