Forgive Me by Infected Mushroom
This is the most sickening song I’ve ever heard=
The lyrics (the best I can make ‘em out):
Well, she’s pretty much a baby, so that’s somewhat excusable.
Well, she’s pretty much a baby, so that’s somewhat excusable.
It’s still sickeningly sappy.
Deep Blue – Arcade Fire.
There’s just something about this song I really love.
The Stranglers – Golden Brown
Old Yellow Bricks by Arctic Monkeys
Unomathemba by Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
:D
Delphic – Clarion Call.
I love it so much it’s almost insane.
She Moves in Her Own Way by The Kooks
So adorable… :D
It was always my favorite montage song, but then my cousin told me who was singing it, and it became… still my favorite montage song, but by a wider margin.
@Soup- Oh my god. The comments…
The Gap Band – Early in the Morning.
Not sure why I can’t stop listening to it. This usually isn’t my kind of thing.
North by Phoenix
Suliman by Infected Mushroom
Probably one of my favorite songs by IM.
Still Alive, from Portal.
Played (and carved) by a fibre laser. Seriously, watch this.
Only I don’t like that Still Alive.
Waste by Foster The People
Metal Gear Solid has got some fantastic music.
Metal Gear Solid has got some fantastic music.
Which one are you listening to?
They are all awesome, though.
Foster The People – Broken Jaw
Love. So much. <3
We Will Become Silhouettes by The Postal Service
Sweet Nurse- Katatonia
@sansa – the soundtrack to MGS4.
Nice. MGS4 is arguably my favorite.
Tell Me Goodbye – Big Bang
Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons
Matt & Kim – Daylight
Midnight Hands – Rise Against
SO GOOD
The La’s
There She Goes
:D
Battlestar Galactica Soundtrack – Bear McCreary
I JUST. THIS IS JUST TOO GOOD.
Iris – Goo Goo Dolls
Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons
Abraham’s Daughter — Arcade Fire — The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 and Beyond
I can only imagine how creepy this will be as the first song in the credits of the movie.
@ RVL
APPROVAL.
Total chick.
(I love the juxtaposition between TEAM EDWARD and MEGADETH’S GREATEST HITS)
Two Door Cinema Club – Come Back Home
If I Should Fall From Grace With God — The Pogues
Has anyone here listened to Coheed and Cambria? I just discovered them the other day and I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts on them. I think the whole graphic-novels-based-on-albums thing is a pretty cool idea.
I just don’t like the vocalist at all. The graphic novels thing sounds cool, but if I hate a vocalist, that’s a deal-breaker for me.
I learned to play Welcome Home back when I was starting up on guitar. But yeah, the singer’s voice irritates me. Got to the point where I practiced with the karaoke version of the song. I dunno. Reminds me of Axl Rose, and I can’t stand him either (get me stoned around here, I know).

You’d better run from Clib while there’s still time.
Listening to Persona 4 Reincarnation, wishing I could play Persona 4/3 and hoping for Persona 5 to come soon.

What colour coffin would you like? :P
A tasteful dark blue would be nice. I’ve been a zombie for three days now, so I’m looking forward to actually dying.
TBH I wasn’t aiming for an ad hominem. I know nothing of his personal habits or lifestyle, I just don’t like the sound of his voice. And it’s not just him. All high-pitched male singers annoy me to some extent. The guy from Coheed and Cambria, the guy from Smashing Pumpkins, the guy from Silversun Pickups. A few of them I can put up with, others I can’t.
To each his own, my friend. If you like GNR, you are welcome to crank it up. Seeing as how you’re around a thousand miles away and I can’t hear it. :D
Yeah, but my Mom can and she hates anything with a guitar riff. :P
Doesn’t that exclude, like, 95% of all music produced in the past fifty years?
Well, there’s a guitar riff and then there’s a guitar riff, if you follow me. Fuzzy Rickenbacker power chords and a screechy, overdriven Les Paul solo are two different animals.
I’ve got most of End of All Hope by Nightwish down on guitar. :D Shredding is so much funnnn
^^ Love that song! I’m very impressed.
Nice job, Inky!
Where Did Our Love Go — The Supremes
Persona 4 Electronica in the Velvet Room.
This kinda makes me want to dance.
Bring Him Home, from Les Miserables.
IN WELSH.
MUST LINK. LINK NOW PLEASE.
(if this doesn’t work, tell me and I’ll upload it to youtube.)
This guy is my second favourite Valjean.
He is amazing.
SWEET JESUS
Is his name really “John Owen-John”?
Is his name really “John Owen-John”?
It’s John Owen-Jones.
And his English version of Bring Him Home is AMAZING too.
(he was at the end of the 25th anniversary concert of Les Mis. He comes out at the end with Colm Wilkinson and co to sing Bring Him Home.)
Jones, Johns, Johnson, Jonson, Johnston…
Star of the County Down — Van Morrison
Damned for All Time, Jesus Christ Superstar.
...I think I may be beginning to like this show.
Inspector: Which version? The 2001 version was pure adrenaline rock opera, but the 1973 version was all kinds of trippy drug-fuelled awesome (see: Simon Zealot’s song, especially Simon’s face)
The Naked and Famous – No Way
Inspector: Which version? The 2001 version was pure adrenaline rock opera, but the 1973 version was all kinds of trippy drug-fuelled awesome
The original 1970 version.
Because Murray Head kicks ASS.
For some reason, the 1973 film reminds me a lot of Hair.
And I think Gethsemane is the best song that the Rice/Webber collaboration ever wrote. My favourite version of that song is Colm Wilkinson’s, though. Even though he never played Jesus. But it was the first version I heard and I haven’t found one I like as much since.
The Tragic Prince from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Dammed for All Time, Jesus Christ Superstar
Heart of Courage — Two Steps from Hell
^^ I love that song.
Me too. I really like the whole album it’s on(Invincible). I knew I’d heard Heart of Courage before, but I didn’t look it up until I saw it on some random NFL highlight Youtube video with the song’s name in the comments(it was crazy effective in the video in question).
I know of it from a Mass Effect 2 video, actually.
“THUMBS UP IF SANSAFRO187 SENT YOU HERE”
I feel like I’ve heard that song a billion times, but I can’t remember where.
I know of it from a Mass Effect 2 video, actually.
I’m pretty sure that’s where I first heard it too, since I first thought it was from Mass Effect.
Maybe it was in a trailer or something?
I’m gonna leave a general request here.
In August I’m taking a three-day road trip and I’m trying to assemble some fast hard rock, rap, or metal for a mix. Suggestions requested.

I do not listen to any of those, sorry.
On the normal subject of the thread, I am currently in love with the Decemberist’s Sons and Daughters.
Inky, you need to check out Halestorm. Their singer is kickass.
Check out Clutch, Ink.
Where are you going?
EDIT: In honour of those who have passed, I recommend Rammstein. “Buch Dich” was their favourite.
rap
Are you looking for artists or albums?
As far as Clib’s list goes, I second Alice in Chains, Iron Maiden (how could you ever NOT like Maiden?!), Dio and would also add Soundgarden, Tool, and A Perfect Circle.
I’m driving from Philadelphia to Dallas, TX.
@ sansa – particular songs, actually, but whatever works.
Thanks guys.
Ooh, and also The Confession. They’re a really obscure band, but I think they’re quite good. Recommendations: ‘Jealousy’ and ‘No Angel’.
Just put all of 36 Chambers on loop.
