Me too, Inspector. Me too.
Does Les Miserable involve a gardener’s daughter and some nuns? I saw something called Les Miserable on TV the other day and I just wondered whether it’s the same Les Miserable or not. It certainly didn’t sound musical.
Well, the main character does work as a guardener at a convent for a while, and he does have an adopted daughter. And the musical is only one adaptation of a novel published in 1862.
Tron Legacy soundtrack. I love FLAC, 24 bit/96,000 Hz. <3
Grooveshark is down. D:
With Love, Vincent by Murray Gold
It’s from the Doctor Who soundtrack. :D
I hate it when I hear an absolutely incredible song, I don’t know, in the mall or something, and I can’t get a hold of it so that I can have it on infinite replay until I’m sick of it. And I can’t even google the lyrics or anything because I didn’t remember enough of the words and even if I recall the chorus, it will just happen to have the most common words in it so that a search brings up lyrics to like a million different songs and then I’ll never hear that song ever again and all I can remember was that it was glorious.
>:(
^This. It happens to me so often.
Miss You by Foster The People
I love it I love it I love it
I love Katatonia. So, so, so much. :D
The finale of Les Mis.
Oh GOD the reprise of Bring Him Home makes me cry.
“God on high
Hear my prayer
Take me now to your care…”
sob
(though typing it up makes me realize it does not rhyme.)
Undisclosed Desires, by Muse.
What a sexy, sexy song.
I inexplicably have a song called Armistice by a band Phoenix on my computer, though I have no recollection of recieving it and I do not know this band.
It makes up for being a stowaway by being very awesome.
Got all of the soundtracks of the Dollars movies in playlists on youtube. :D
Heavyweight by Infected Mushroom
Gethsemane, from Jesus Christ Superstar. I Colm Wilkinson’s version had been recorded other than on video, because it’s the best.
Nocturne No. 1 by Chopin
SO PRETTY WHEN IT’S BEING PLAYED BY RUBENSTEIN. 8D
I approve of the above statement.
Chopin is AMAZING.
Moth’s Wings by Passion Pit. Guess I like ‘em again. Strangeness.
Double post! Whatever. Listening to Little Secrets by the above band. The lyrics are what I find so so great.
And One Time Too Many by Phoenix is my new favourite song to listen to when relaxing. I’ve been switching between that and 1901, depending on my mood.
MUSIC, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH OH MY GOSH!!
Good Feeling. Yes, the Flo Rida song. It is stuck in my head. Crap.
Ohhh ohhhh sometimes, I get a good feeling, yeahh…
Midnight Hands by Rise Against.
Yeah, the new album sucked, for the most part, but this song is one of their heaviest intros ever, and that Drop C# riff is awesome on a platter. Learned to play it and felt like a boss.
Good Feeling. Yes, the Flo Rida song. It is stuck in my head. Crap.
The only part that gets stuck in my head is the pretty good part, aka the part without Flo Rida.
the new album sucked
There was a new album? This just shows how closely I follow Rise Against. I have their Appeal to Reason album, and that’s about it.
2011 saw Endgame. For my money, it was too fragmented, over-the-top and politically oriented to succeed. There were some good bits of songwriting here and there and Tim McIlrath’s voice is still awesome, but their songwriting was like oil spill, gay rights, America sucks, big companies are evil, jumping from topic to topic incoherently. Their social and personal songs have always been better than the political ones.
Appeal to Reason was decent, but Siren Song of the Counter Culture was their best album.
Swimming in the Flood. Not saying who it’s from. I’ve mentioned them more than a few times now. :)
Johnny Cash- Ring of Fire.
dun dun dundun dun dun dun dah!
Love you too. My family pretty much lives and breathes Johnny Cash. My eight year old brother’s favorite song is Cocaine Blues.
Switchfoot is coming to my university this April! Yay!
Indeed. But funny.
James Newton Howard – Unbreakable.
Been listening to plenty of incredible film scores lately.
Debby Ryan – Open Eyes. I really can’t help it, it’s just so pretty. Also, I’ve been avoiding female artists for far too long for some reason. I ought to take a break away from male bands for a while.
This is the best thing ever. Really.
Music of the Night, sung by Ramin Karimloo.
I LOVE this guy.
The Naked And Famous – Young Blood
That’s interesting…
Right now I’m listening to the theme from Braveheart.
Bon Iver – Blood Bank
Remember Everything – Five Finger Death Punch
I swear, these guys have two modes – fast & angry or slow & depressing. Weird combination.
Getting into Garbage.
Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.
Man, that’s a good song.
Yes. Yes it is.
Foster The People – Helena Beat
Thank goodness Youtube has some of Arrietty’s soundtrack, ‘cause you can’t properly buy it in the US and it’s 30 bucks elsewhere.
Seriously, listen to this.
Beautiful. Really, really beautiful.
Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men.
Sure I’ve repped it here before, but this is a fantastic song.
Cough Syrup, by Young the Giant.
I cry everytime I hear it.
“Whispers in the Dark,” Skillet.
No, you’ll never be alone
When darkness comes I’ll light the night with stars
Hear the whispers in the dark . . .
Isabelle — Gregory and the Hawk
It reminds me of something, but I can’t for the life of me remember what.
The War Drags on, Donovan
For some reason, I have to listen to Nam protest songs for English Lit.
Passion Pit – To Kingdom Come
Great lyrics, as usual.
Those Nights, by Skillet.
You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid, by the Offspring
^ +1, Willow. Any other punk you listen to?
Uh… does Right Now by SR-71 count?
Mazeltov by ZE:A. It’s weird, but I like it. :D
Also, Last Fantasy by IU. :3
Yasashisa Ni Tsutsemareta Nara — ??? (Original ending song to Kiki’s Delivery Service)
I prefer the North American songs, but this is still so good.
North By North by Faded Paper Figures
Girl From the North Country, Bob Dylan
I Squeeze Gats by Charlie Brown Beatz
Someday I’m going to amble around at an exaggerated pimpwalk while this song plays on repeat.
Music from the first Sims game.
I have just enough memory of it for these songs to be insanely awesome.
Dear Ophelia, by Abney Park. It’s about Hamlet.
What’s in the Middle – The Bird and the Bee. I first heard it on Bones and I’ve fallen in love with the song ever since.
Sad Lisa- Cat Stevens.
I was definitely born in the wrong era music-wise.
Folds In Your Hands
Everything’s easy when you never have to choose
With the balances shifting and you’re forced to lose
Like the sun and the moon I will circle you till you bloom
I will crush, I will maul, I will burn until I get to you
<3
The Real World, by Owl City.
This song always makes me think of Luna Lovegood.
“Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn’t wanna live there.”
Foster The People – Houdini
Relient K – Be My Escape
Be Thou my Vision, Michael Card
HEY THERE CTHULHU
Relient K – Be My Escape
Be Thou my Vision, Michael Card
I love those songs! Especially the last one. That was the first version of “Be Thou My Vision” I ever heard, and it remains my favorite.
Currently listening to “I Believe,” by Third Day.
I love those songs! Especially the last one. That was the first version of “Be Thou My Vision” I ever heard, and it remains my favorite.
It’s one of my favourite hymns….and I grew up with Michael Card’s music.
I had my headphones on, but I hadn’t actually started playing music yet, and then I got distracted. Then I like, imagined I was listening to music or something because I had a feeling that I had just listened to a song, but I hadn’t started playing any songs yet. It was a weird sensation.
Anyway, “Love for Long” by Jenny Owen Youngs. The background music is really upbeat.
Passion Pit – The Reeling
Aria – Susumu Hirasawa
Boy Moves To New Town With Optimistic Outlook – FM Static
At exactly 1:05 is where it’s just beyond amazing.
Incident at Gate 7 by Thievery Corporation
Ever since SWQ put up that link I’ve been listening to a ton of Florence + the Machine. And I like, a lot!
I like Shake It Out. Heard it on HIMYM... the scene made me almost cry.
Two Door Cinema Club – What You Know
I like Shake It Out. Heard it on HIMYM... the scene made me almost cry.
That’s become one of my lesser liked ones, actually. XD
HIMYM: The show that dragged on for too long.
Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi by Uverworld
@Soupnazi: HIMYM is lesser liked, or Shake It Out?
@Puppet: That was uncalled for :P
In Front Of Me by Infected Mushroom
I got into a band called High and Mighty Color a while ago, this is my favourite song by them —> Over by HaMC
The rapper Yusuke is kind of annonying, but he grew on me after a while…
HIMYM is lesser liked, or Shake It Out?
Shake It Out.
Ohhhhhhh. That’s fine then :)
Haha, and of course Smash decides to have Shake It Out (or Shake It Up, as it was referred to?) on its episode tonight. It was so boring—I mean, what’s Florence and the Machine without Florence Welch?
