make a man out of you from Mulan.
:D
Like I said before, Mulan was win.
I loved it.
The sequel, however, was probably the suckiest sequel I’ve ever seen.
^^I’ve never seen the sequel. I didn’t have the desire. Now I’m glad I didn’t.
This is Me by Charlie McDonnell
:D
I listened to the Tarzan soundtrack.
I didn’t have the desire. Now I’m glad I didn’t.
You shouldn’t.
Ever.
You will wake up on the floor with bloodied hands, looking at a broken and shattered TV…. and not remembering what the hell happened.
Superstar by Sonic Youth
Blind Guardian is legendary. ‘Nuff said.
Blind Guardian is legendary.
Have you listened to Nightfall in Middle Earth? I LOVE THAT ALBUM!
I haven’t before, but I’m listening to it right now. Thanks for the heads up ;D
LOL at the intro track. They take this stuff seriously. But man, the actual tracks are pretty awesome. I can’t believe I’d never heard of them before. I only found out about them when looking up Wheel of Time.
Yeah, the weird little transitions are…weird but
the actual tracks are pretty awesome.
Basically. :) Have you listened to their newest album? They have two songs about ASOIAF, but I’m still most attached to Nightfall in Middle Earth and assorted other songs.
Have you listened to their newest album?
Heck yes! Mostly because that was the album with Wheel of Time; I still have to read ASOIAF >.>
If there was a concert I would willingly go to, it would be a Blind Guardian concert.
Yeah they seem like they would be good live.
Someday You Will Be Loved by Death Cab For Cutie

Somewhere Only We Know by Keane

Ave Mary A by P!nk
Cold Spring by Cymbals Eat Guitars
Superstar by Sonic Youth
Märchen by Sound Horizon
Finally got my copy of the album, and I like it quite a bit, though I’m not sure how it compares to SH’s previous albums. It was a pleasure to listen to, and the stories are hilarious and adorable—not words that I normally associate with Sound Horizon. Anyways, I’ll still be listening to it on loop for the next week :D
Also, the lyrics booklet that came with the limited edition was noted to be picturebook-like. They didn’t say that the book was hardcover and embossed and that the package had panels with a full colour illustration of each story. Gimmicky yes, but still pure awesomeness XD
Marry me a Little from Company.
I LOVE this musical.
I Will Follow by U2
Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson soothes my nerves very well.
I love Bubbles by Biffy Clyro, the riff at the beginning is awesome. I also like another of their song, Many of Horror.
I love breakaway too :p
The World Is Mine (I Don’t Know Anything) by Alex Day
Because I’ve been obsessed with Mass Effect lately, I’ve been listening to the soundtrack too, and… it’s actually pretty good, even though I didn’t notice it much in the game. In particular, the track from the last part of the second game is amazing. It pulls in cues and themes from other important pieces in the soundtrack. The first time I listened to it, I was doing something else but had to stop and just listen to the song, it distracted me that much!
It’s here, btw.
“The Pearl” by John Steinbeck
I remember that book! I also remember hating it. :P
Missing You by Alex Day
Blackout by Muse
The Lord of the Dance

oh wait—Abba next :D
Watermark by Enya
My latest musical obsession:
Company, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. the music is so goregous and I’m so marrying the main star of the cast. :D
YES, Stephen Sondheim is AMAZING. :D
You and Me by Alex Day
Minas Morgul
by Howard Shore
I’m listening to LotR music TOO!
Parth Galen by Howard Shore
Have I got a girl for you, Company
Curse my Name and Valkyries by Blind Guardian
A Day Without Rain by Enya
King of Anything.
So good.
I can’t get Road’s Song from D.Gray-man out of my head. Somewhat creepy but somehow catchy too. I can now sing-along to it in bad Japanese.
Chopin Nocturne op. 72 no. 1 played by yours truly. Meh, I have some serious work to do. D:
Before church this morning, my mom made an offhand comment about guys acting “macho”. So guess what song was playing in my head ALL THROUGH CHURCH? Macho Man. I hate that song now.
Come on Home by Franz Ferdinand
Girls not Grey by AFI
Nocturne No. 3 by Chopin
Say it ain’t so by Weezer
Amsterdam by Coldplay
I didn’t think my hatred of The Black Eyed Peas could grow, but it has.
And in the same vein, here’s Cracked’s take one of their songs that annoys the hell out me.
Ugh, Black Eyed Peas… >.<
Waterloo by ABBA
The Ozzy Osbourne commercial made me hunger for good ol’ Black Sabbath- Electric Funeral.
My darn roommate got Glee stuff stuck in my head.
Gives You Hell
Just the Way You Are

My Life Would Suck Without You
40 Feet by Franz Ferdinand
@Kilgore: that’s beautiful.
I don’t get Grease. I just don’t.
Iron Maiden because I need pumping up to do some calculus homework.
Re: Grease- ewww. Glee was stupid as well, but I’ve only watched one episode.
Once from Once
And ditto to all the Grease + Glee = sucky comments. ;)
^ Nightwish?
I never liked Grease either. I’ve seen a couple of Glee episodes, and I haven’t liked any of them.
To continue the Iron Maiden marathon, ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’. :D
No Glee to be found here…although I’d pay to see those pop singers trying to take on Bruce Dickinson, just for the evulz.
Maiden never really got my blood pumping the way the others do.
How does Maiden NOT get your blood pumping? It’s so bouncy and hyperactive as far as metal goes. In fact, in my head if metal bands were stereotyped as one person, Iron Maiden would be the nerdy, overactive guy who likes to wave around insanely large swords and charge wildly around the room, whooping battle cries.
That’s just me, of course, and I’m not even a huge Maiden fan.
You’re welcome to your own opinion, of course. I’m not especially fond of GNR, so it’s all square anyway. Old Metallica I like, however. Something about James Hetfield’s twangier tone in the newer records just puts me off.
Maybe it’s a personal thing. I don’t know, I just can’t get into the newer stuff. Funnily enough, I think it was what I was first exposed to.
I wish I was a teen in the 90s. There were so many awesome bands/musicians around.
Argh. Being forced to listen to Taylor Swift’s Love Story, Justin Bieber’s One Time, Hannah Montanna/Miley Cyrus’ Best of Both Worlds and all the other singers killed me the last couple of days.
Although Taylor’s voice is pretty good. And Justin’s got a shot if he changes his songs and his voice.
Try listening to them simultaneously. Eventually they merge into a singular whining noise that drowns out all thought and sanity.
Although Taylor’s voice is pretty good.
Her voice is only good when the studio fixes it. I watched a live video of her once, and it just about made my ears bleed. So screechy.
If the Beiber would quit trying to sound like Kurt Cobain he’d be at least tolerable.
Wait, what? I didn’t think his voice had started really cracking yet.
It’s so weird how for such a rotten movie, Transformers 2 had a really, really nice soundtrack. Listening to a track now…
Not as great as the one from Tron: Legacy, though!
It is in my head.
I found a new band that is pretty interesting. :)
^^Who is it?
It’s a gothic band called Lacrimosa- they’re German, I think, but they have some interesting stuff. Their cover of The Phantom of the Opera is pretty good (at least in my opinion).
Eleanor Put Your Boots On by Franz Ferdinand
I saw part of The Runaways the other day, and now “Cherry Bomb” is stuck in my head.
The classics need more attention, I think.
Mona Lisa, Jerry Lee Lewis-style
Personally I think The Premiers did a better/cleaner cover of it, but it’s not available on YouTube.
Cemeteries of London by Coldplay
