Though I don’t think that’s Coldplay’s best song, I still love it. :D
Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat, Op. 73 — “Emperor” by Beethoven
Singing along to Amy Lee’s version of Sally’s Song is such fun! I wish the piano accompaniment weren’t so hard, or else I might try out for a solo with it. Maybe I could recruit someone else…
Baba O’Riley and Who are You by The Who. Yeah…. those two are stuck in my head. Saw Roger Daltrey and Eric Clapton in concert on Friday…. it was awesome :)

^ My friend is learning how to play it on piano.
REALLY?! SO COOL. 8D

Black Sheep by Metric.
First movement of “Emperor” by Beethoven
Imagine covered by A Perfect Circle. Yes.
Nocturne in B Flat Minor by Chopin
Change the visuals to “Flowers” while listening.
Citizen Erased by Muse
I’ve been listening to some songs by Florence + The Machine lately. I think it’s approaching serious guilty pleasure level.
Another Hundred People, Company
MK Ultra by Muse
Revolution from the Across the Universe soundtrack.
I loved that movie. :)
Exogenesis Symphony Part 1 (Overture) by Muse
One Day More, Les Mis
Revolution from the Across the Universe soundtrack.
I keep forgetting how much I like that movie. I should watch it again.
Superstar by Sonic Youth
Medieval Black Sabbath.
Yep, that is as awesome as it sounds.
You Could Have Had It So Much Better by Franz Ferdinand
The Root Beer rag
You have to listen carefully to hear the piano sometimes, but this is the best recording I’ve found.
Think of Me from Phantom of the Opera
^^ My friend (who sadly moved) could sing that song so well. It made me jealous, even if I wasn’t as obsessed with Phantom of the Opera as she was.
Really? I can’t even get close to the high notes. ;)
Exogenesis Symphony Part 3 (Redemption) by Muse
Really? I can’t even get close to the high notes. ;)
Me neither. My voice has become increasingly horrible lately. But yeah, she’s a crazy soprano. :)
...I’m not exactly sure what I’m listening to. It’s Finnish, it’s on youtube and the band appears to wear dinosaur costumes.
I have no idea what they’re saying, but it’s still good fun. Here’s a link .
Most epic link ever! :D
Axis of Awesome, 4 Chord Song.
So I think I might have decided what song I want to audition with for my choir’s fall concert- ‘Good Enough’ by Evanescence. The rationale for my decision- I can’t find any other song I like that I sound good on, and my voice was crappy today and I still managed on this song. I already auditioned with it to get into an advanced choir, but that’s okay.
Whoever composed the music for Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn is a genius. Sigh, I need to play that game again.
‘Good Enough’ by Evanescence
Love that song. ^^
Chopin’s Nocturne No. 1
I’ve been binging on Anamanaguchi. It’s NES music made awesome.
There are very few pieces of music that should be played at maximum, no matter the damage to your ears.
The Final Fight from the last episode of Buffy is one of them.
I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to this track over the years, it still sends shivers up my spine and makes walking home that extra bit Awesome.
I’ve been hearing the Trololo guy for at least 30 minutes.
Nocturne No. 3 by Chopin
The Protomen (summary: Mega Man rock opera) just played in Vancouver. They put on an INSANE live show. I am hoarse and deaf <3
Lisztomania by Phoenix.
:D I think I’m in love.
Dream is Collapsing from the Inception Soundtrack.
<3 <3 <3
Oh my God, WW, that is so cool. I NEED THE INCEPTION SOUNDTRACK. NOW.
Fences by Phoenix
Orestes by A Perfect Circle
I couldn’t get into this band before beyond a few songs, but I really like this one.(I actually got into it from a really bad audio-track of Amy Lee singing it, but she’s completely drowned out by the crowd.) It’s even about a mythological character, which pleases mythology-geek Me. :)
Sorry by Buckcherry.
Then Crazy Bitch.
They put those songs in that order on the album. Now that’s mood whiplash.
Rome by Phoenix
99 Luftballons. It sounds better in German, but I like the lyrics in English.
Buckcherry is a weird band. I saw them opening live for Avenged Sevenfold, and their video show in the background was almost anime porn. That said, I do listen to a lot of weird stuff.
anime porn.
o.O Ew.
Love Like a Sunset Part I by Phoenix
anime porn
It’s called hentai. Shudder
Dance in the Dark by Lady Gaga
I keep listening to some song callled Until We Bleed. It’s catchy…
Rome by Phoenix
Saving Buckbeak from the Harry Potter soundtrack.
To be honest, it’s a little boring…
Black Sheep by Metric. It’s on the Scott Pilgrim OST!
Whoooo are you? Who who who who…
DAMMIT, SWQ, IT IS STUCK IN MY HEAAAAAAD.
Fences by Phoenix
I really need to stop listening to them…
;)
Defying Gravity from Wicked. Such a perfect earworm…
Oh, I had a shirt from Wicked that said “Defy Gravity.” The song is amazing. :D
Countdown by Phoenix
Yes, I don’t think there’s a single song from Wicked that I’d even halfheatedly try to avoid. I really need to get around to seeing the show.
Wanderlust by Nightwish
I saw it in August. It was fantastic. I highly recommend it.
Total costume porn (in an awesome way), especially if you’re a fan of Steampunk.
Black Sheep by Metric
I love that song. Do you like the movie version or the original Metric version more?
So I’m practicing my solo (audition’s tomorrow) and I never before realized what a hard song I picked. I’m practically trembling halfway through. Oh well, I don’t plan on getting in anyway.
Finally something other than Phoenix! Yay! Go me and my ‘diverse’ musical taste!
Chopin: Nocturne no. 19, Op 72 no. 1
^^ That’s a good song. :) She’s got an interesting style, but I’ve never been able to get into all of her music.
This is my first post in this thread.
I love that song. Do you like the movie version or the original Metric version more?
It’s hard to choose. The original one is sharper, but I prefer the movie version’s opening and chorus.
Clair de Lune by Debussy
I don’t mean to be a Twilight sympathizer, but if a guy played this for me, I would love him forever. :D
Clair de Lune by Debussy
My mom plays this a lot. I need to learn it some day, after I finally master Le Coucou by Louis-Claude Daquin.
I need to learn it some day
You should; it’s magnificent when played well. :D
Ulysses by Franz Ferdinand
Went to a concert yesterday, it was pretty awesome. Now, however, I’m swamped with homework. :(
Whose concert?
Avenged Sevenfold, with Stone Sour and Halestorm.
Mario Kart Love Song.
That was so not what I was expecting. I actually liked it.
I’m listening to all of the songs in my library that I have given five stars while I screw around on my computer write my paper.
I cannot recommend Elsiane enough. :)
Resistance by Muse
“We Didn’t Start the Fire” and “Piano Man” by Billy Joel.
David Fincher directed a music video for A Perfect Circle?!
I’m very happy. :D
You Could Be Happy by Snow Patrol
Not sure of what I think about their stuff, but I like it overall. It’s just that they seem overly repetitive…
“Good Enough”
Evanescence
@RVL: I feel the same way. Which is too bad because I would really, really love some of their songs if they weren’t so repetitive.
@ NP: I am taking a healthy vacation from that song. I love it though. :)
Been on a Fiona Apple binge for the past couple of days.
Dia, I know, right?! It’s kind of frustrating. The only song I can say I love for sure is Chasing Cars. :P
Blink by Chameleon Circuit
And I don’t even watch Doctor Who…
Reptilia by The Strokes
I can’t say I’d be a Snow Patrol fan regardless of the lyrics, but I know what you guys are talking about and I hate it too.
Yeah. And even that one gets old because it has been overplayed over the years. >.< Personally, my favorite is The Planets Bend Between Us. I really like the imagery in it. Especially the title.
But Snow Patrol’s repetitiveness pales in comparison to Ingrid Michaelson. I’m fond of her song Soldier because it perfectly fits one of my characters, but so many of her lyrics are repetitive. (Keep Breathing is an especially egregious example)
And even that one gets old because it has been overplayed over the years. >.<
The song really reminds me of Paris, which is the only reason I love it. ;) I’m not sure I would otherwise.
Assassin by Muse
The music from the Death Note anime truly is Crowning Music of Awesome. Been listening to it all day…
The music from the Death Note anime truly is Crowning Music of Awesome.
Agreed. :D
