Dear God, it’s so catchy!!
Variation on a Theme From Pachebel’s Canon in D Major by David Lanz
Undisclosed Desires by Muse.
Just got The Resistance yesterday (after much temptation to pirate it) and I don’t think it’s as bad as some people have made it out to be.
Meh, I think it’s possibly their worst album, but I like some of the songs on the album. Actually, it’s more like I dislike a few with a burning passion. (Undisclosed Desires and Guiding Light)
Wandering Child/Bravo Monsieur from Phantom of the Opera
Bought Powerslave (Iron Maiden), A Change of Seasons (Dream Theater), British Steel (Judas Priest), Best of Black Sabbath (Black Sabbath), Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) and some album by Rise Against from India.
Mwahaha, lots of new music!
Heartless and Love Lockdown by Kanye West, Hurricane by Bob Dylan, Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil, Forever Young by Alphaville and Hope it Gives You Hell by All American Rejects.
Remember, I’m deaf.
Space Dementia by Muse
Mashups of pop songs.
ITS DELICIOUS as a guilty pleasure.
$0.09 per song. Feel less guilty.
[and don’t give in to Apple’s outrageous prices.]
Sand and Mercury- The Gathering
Angel of Music from Phantom of the Opera
September by Earth, Wind and Fire and Hope it Give You Hell by All-Amerian Rejects are now my top two faves.
If you like awesome orchestral epic music, get a torrent client and go find Pro Scores. Its on a free license, and all I can say is awesome. Its mostly small clips of really good material you can combine do to amazing stuff with.
A torrent client?
Like uTorrent. That should work best. Then go to Isohunt.com and search ‘pro scores’ and its should be like the 4gb one.
Is it not on YouTube? Because seriously, that is the extent of my musical search abilities.
Not that I know of, its possible.
Sleepyhead by Passion Pit
You might be able to find the orchestra thing on mediafire/megaupload/other site of your choice. Just google something like “mediafire pro scores” without the quotes.
Vertigo, U2
Resistance by Muse
Sir Christopher Lee, Charlemagne and symphonic metal go together surprisingly well.
Unnatural Selection by Muse
@ Moldorm:
OH.
MY.
GOD.
(in a good way)
EDIT: Listening to the LotR Soundtrack, again, and even the lyrics are good! This is the lyrics from the song that plays when Gandalf comforts Theoden about his son dying:
He taught him to ride
To wield a sword
To stand strong
And show his enemy no fear
Now he must learn
The hard truth
That he had brought his boy
From childhood
So that he might face his death like a man
The enemy was always with them
The enemy did not care about fear.
D;
That part of the movie always got me, and now it’s going to get me even more knowing what the choir’s singing in the background.
Smart Systems, by MiST
The Road Goes Ever On and On being hummed by lookingforme
I like OSTs

Garoto – Ernesto Nazareth
Bad Romance by Lady Gaga is stuck in my head. Grrrrr.
Bad Romance by Lady Gaga is stuck in my head. Grrrrr.
Omg, I just saw the video for that. SO SCARY. And it’s stuck in my head as well. Lady Gaga is very, very, frightening…. cowers under bed
Darn you awesome concept albums. I love The Dear Hunter’s Act II but it’s eighty minutes long and it’s not the same if I listen to random songs as opposed to listening to the complete album.
On that note, The Pimp and the Priest by The Dear Hunter, one of their songs that sounds pretty good by itself.
Omg, I just saw the video for that. SO SCARY. And it’s stuck in my head as well. Lady Gaga is very, very, frightening…. cowers under bed
The video is… weird. I do like her red outfit near the end, it looks kinda neat. Her massive gold outfit in the middle is ugly and creeptastic. The very ending is… well, ew. Weirdly, the least weird she looks in the whole video is the close ups with her crying, in which she looks like a normal sad woman.
On your “recommendations” I watched the Bad Romance video.
._.
I must agree the crying closeups are the most normal. Most being the key word. D:
According to my friend, the video was about women who were being raised as experiments. Funny, and here I thought it was just more Lady Gaga sexplotation…
Er, no, it’s supposed to be about Gaga being kidnapped and sold as a sex slave to the Russian Mafia.
Thanks, Wikipedia, for scarring me forever.
Superstar by Sonic Youth
And Lady Gaga… Just ew.
Joe Hisaishi. :3
I have a minor problem here.
My best friend and I, we wanna play practical joke involving haunting/scary music. I’m the musician between us.
The problem? I’m deaf, and I have no idea what haunting/scary music is suppose to sound like.
Please help me out here.
Um, you need haunting/scary music?
For what instrument, if I may ask? I would try finding sheet music for Nightmare Before Christmas- that has rather eerie music, if not really outright scary.
Nightmare before Christmas? That sounds interesting.
Oh, any instrument. My best friend (I need to give her a name here) has a keyboard, so I can access to any musical instrument. But piano would be good. If not, that’s ok.
Try setting it on organ. Organs always sound creepier than piano. Look for Toccata and Fugue, that one’s very creepy.
Toccota and Fugue?
Yeah, organs are creepier… that’s why I love organs…. mwahahahahahahaha…
Toccata and Fugue
By who?
Full name is Toccata and Fugue in d minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Is it just me or Nightmare Before Christmas is actually several songs?
And Toccata and Fugue, isn’t it for guitar? (Yes, I can attempt to play on guitar settings, just wondering that’s all.)
Ok, it was Bach. I just wasn’t sure about the composer. Actually, I’m listening to classical right now, so as soon as this Chopin Scherzo is over, I will look that up. The key of D Minor is beautiful.
Anyway, No One, Nightmare Before Christmas is a movie. I just recommended the soundtrack as a whole.
Ohhhh… that might explain it. Thanks, SWQ.
Currently listening to the Road to Perdition soundtrack by Thomas Newman. BUT In Classical Music News, I am hopping up and down because I can use IMSLP to print off sheet music (*hums Debussy*) once again! Printer workage – win!
Oh, Tocatta and Fugue is wonderful. :D
Expectations by Belle and Sebastian
Belle and Sebastian is, of course, amazing.
I Get Down by All Wrong & The Plans Change
Belle and Sebastian is, of course, amazing.
Agreed. :D
Trippin Dominoes by Vast Air.
Cheetahmen (another mix), by N
Le Roi Des Ombres by M
Chopin Ballade #1 in G minor. I always like to listen to classical when writing sonnet analysis essays.
You could try to get sheet music for Sweeney Todd. Go for the opening song, it’s the creepiest.
YES YES YES. I don’t know why I didn’t mention that before; do what the Inspector suggested. :D
Oh Mio Babino Caro by Puccini
Danza Pastorale (3rd movement of “Spring”) by Vivaldi
I just got the 1991 Paris Cast Recording of Les Miserables!

Starlight by Muse
Time – Pink Floyd.
The Shadow of the Beast II sountrack, by Tim Wright
There was just a commerical for Italian food on TV, and in the background was a song from Rigoletto. Unfortuneately, it was the song about how woman are fickle/interchangable.
“It was twenty years ago today! Sergeant Pepper told the band to play!”
I LOVE THE BEATLES SO MUCH.
Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is a GREAT album.

Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is a GREAT album.
Seconded. TIS AMAZING. Beatles = LOVE.
Currently listening to the sound of my own typing…
I know! The Beatles are amazing. The music video for Hello Goodbye is hysterical. They. cannot. dance.
But their inability to dance makes them even more dorkishly adorable :D
Everything about them is dorkishly adorable. I WUV THEM!
I haven’t seen any Beatles music videos! must look up!
Worlds Apart~Silverstein
:D
In honor of my panic-attacking friend (who I will soon join in panic attack land)
Breathe Me , by Sia.
If you need a panic attack song, I suggest the aptly named ‘Panic Attack’ by Dream Theater.
Once by Marketa Irglova and Glen Hasard
I’m listening to the song that Evanescence released for Haiti. It’s called Together Again, and I like the synthy, atmospheric way the band is moving. (Much better than Lacuna Coil- I find their new stuff pretty nondescript, though their older stuff is cool.)
Gaston, from the Beauty and the Beast movie soundtrack. I love this movie to death. And this soundtrack is great.
@ The soundtrack is indeed awesome.
Coincidentally enough, I’m listening to Mulan‘s soundtrack, this tranquil and awesome song.
@ Inspector: The words are so witty too! Beauty and the Beast is just…the pinnacle of Disney 2D for me.
Cowboys from Hell- Pantera
this tranquil and awesome song.
Yay, Mulan! It was on TV a week ago, so I’ve been listening to this epic song a lot.
Ashes to Ashes, by Blind Guardian. I can’t believe I’d never heard this song before.
Ooh, I haven’t either. I’ve gone to YouTube immediately to check it out.
I know you really like Nightfall In Middle Earth. Have you listened to much of their other stuff?
No, but I need to!
BANDS I MUST LISTEN TO MOAR OF:
Black Sabbath
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Tool
Blind Guardian
The Beatles
Megadeth
And more…
Considering that all of these bands have a huge output of music, I’ve got quite a lot to expose myself to!
Save Me, San Francisco by Train.
@ Moldorm – “Short Hair” is amazing.
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, from Cats.
Even though I promised myself I’d never, ever like Cats.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHAT HAVE I BECOME?!?
Even though I promised myself I’d never, ever like Cats.
Buhwhuh?!
But, Skimbleshanks, Macavity, Magical Mister Mistoffellees!
How can you not love it?!
Buhwhuh?!
But, Skimbleshanks, Macavity, Magical Mister Mistoffellees!
How can you not love it?!
I personally like Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer the best. And the Rum Tum Tugger.
My family thinks I’m nuts. But it’s just….so….charming and catchy!
Angel of Music from Phantom of the Opera
