It just goes on and on my friends.

So, with the new forum system that Sly’s setup for us, we see whatever’s been most recently modified. And over time, these will tend to be recently created threads. But there should really be some old, canonical thread that we can go back to and see a semi-continuous discussion winding in and out of other epic threads over the future months, and dare we hope, years (assuming Sly doesn’t come up with a new, shinier forum system before then). I propose it to be this thread.

Now, join in on the epicness and guarantee that your name will live forever.

    Ahh, I like this idea.

So, let’s talk about something that weaves in and out of other threads…like the general trend of thread topics. That’s probably broad enough.

I’d say that the thread topics, in general, are mostly introductory threads at this point- a lot of the threads on books seem to be “I’ve read this. Do you like it?” So, basically, everyone’s getting to know each other. I’m interested to know where this might go in the future. By which time, of course, this thread will still be around.

  3.

Lol, my gender: a reference point… etc thread is good for a laugh, once you get halfway down the first page and then keep reading. No, I’m not boasting. Blame CB, swenson and Nate Winchester for the complete lulz.

  4.
Now... What to talk about... ;)
  5.
Um, based on the original post, are we meant to be having a conversation about the funny or interesting things in the forum? That's what I thought it meant.

OP here. This thread’s primary purpose is to keep going. I mean, totally, it’s a meta thread about the forum, mixed in with fun randomness like Steph admitting she has a drug problem. It’s okay, I’m here to help. I’ve got a great hookup for you next week, make sure to keep some cash on hand.

    I piss in this thread.

And as we travel through the early posts of this thread, notice over on the left a troll. No, keep your hands and arms inside the ride kiddies. Remember feeding the troll is dangerous. Only tour guides are allowed to do so. *throws hunk of raw meat* Don’t worry, that’ll keep him busy for a little while but we’ll get to see him again. Although one can sometimes try to starve out trolls, the most effective method is the flamethrower. *begins assembling flamethrower out of emergency kit stored in tour bus* Keep your eyes peeled ladies and gentlemen. Jester has six letters, the same number as in “tyrant” (as in, “the Tyrants Court”). Because “king”, “queen”, “page”, and “courtier” all do not have six letters, it is only the Jester, with his power of the six-letter-name who can speak Truth, Truth starting with the same letter as Tyrant. Because Truth begins with a T just like Tyrant and because Jester has six letters just like Tyrant, the Jester can speak it. The King, however, is limited to speaking Lies (“Lies” having four letters, like “King”), the Queen can only speak Order, the Page can only speak Hate, and the Courtier can only speak Divinity. The implications of this idea is that the number of letters in your name is highly important, as is the letter things begin with. Because my name has seven letters and begins with an “S” (Swenson), I can obviously speak Sleeves.

(drat, it’s only 147. Someone else can finish.)

  29.

That was not 200 words. I’ll go back to posting bullshit now.

Exactly. And like necromancy, it’s a dark art which nevertheless has useful and justified purposes. Like this.

It’s possible I didn’t see the final cut, but I really, really did not get Blade Runner.
