Ooo, I can’t believe I missed this before! Some people are doing NaNoWriMo in July. I’m thinking about joining in… now if only I could think of something to write about…

sounds interesting. I might do the same…

I was born in July, my sister in November. I’m a little scared to attempt NaNoWriMo, simply because I had things thrown at me when I tried to blow off cake to work on my NaNo. Maybe I’ll have more luck on my own birthday.

It is not. :D We should make pledges to work on JulNoWriMo together.

Nah, NaNoWriMo is where you write pages and pages of horrible writing so you can go “Ha, I finished a novel!” at the end. Mine was awful. I mean, I kind of liked the story, but the writing itself? Not pretty!

I was going to do it but I have camp till the eighteenth and they don't so much as let us touch a keyboard there. Unless you're waiting for your laundry to come out and there's a computer lab down the hall from the washing machines.

Anyway, I'm thinking of doing short stories if I do this thing.

That sounds like a good idea. I probably don't have the focus/determination/foresight to write a 50,000 word story. A handful of short stories though, I can do.

I think I'm going to enter the July one. I'll miss the first three days of July, but it would be way more convenient for me to attempt the 50,000 words during the summer than during November.

I'd love to do it, but I'm touring Europe through the 10th of July. And by touring, I mean nonstop walking and stuff. I'd probably be leaving the hotel from about 7 a.m. and won't get back until around 9 p.m. Then it'll take me a couple days to readjust to the time zones here. =/ I'd have to catch up like crazy. I might still try it, though, just to see how much I can get done. I seriously doubt I'd be able to finish, though.

Ahhh… yeah, that would be a good incentive. I still need something to write about, though. My NaNo was a modern-day fantasy/adventure with parallel worlds and another intelligent species living on Earth that conveniently looked humanoid. And one I did before that was actually about Clue (the board game). That one was truly terribly written, but it was an interesting story idea.

I have been thinking about this. JulNoWriMo actually sounds better to my mother, too. Guess I’d better get planning.

I just started a new story today. :) But it’s a prologue of another one I’ve been working on. I suppose I could stop and used it as a JulMo, but I’m too impatient.

  7.
I'd like to be part of the Impish JulNo Team! (I just made that up off the top of my head.)

I haven't officially signed up on the website, but I'll be participating anyway. I never went to any of the NaNoWrimo Parties or on their forum anyway, so why bother registering? However, posting on this site was very helpful for me, so I'd love it if we could organize something like that again.
  8.
July sounds much better than November. I wanted to do NaNoWriMo last year, but school got in the way.
  9.
Exactly. Why didn't they have it in the summer in the first place? Well, people are on vacation and all that, but it's easier for me, because I almost never go on vacation. (Well, I'm going to Northern California and San Francisco, but that's only for a week and in June, so doesn't really count)

So, do you guys have any ideas yet on what you'll write about? I'm either going to (A) try to finish my story that I have been working on for the past three years, or (B) Re-write Eragon from Galbatorix and Murtagh's point of view and make it AWESOMENESS.

It would probably be easier to dedicate it to the “II Community” or something similar than listing all of our usernames. It would save a lot of ink, for a start.

  15.

I’m dedicating my book to “My Own Grave”
