...and I saw that they had a new theme. Which might look rather familiar.

I’m not accusing them of plagiarism (and it was one entry in a contest among 12); I’m just pointing out how similar it is. I thought that we had a rather distinctive theme here.

Huh. They changed the theme?! Didn’t know they ever did that! But I don’t quite follow you… IMO, it doesn’t look anything like ImpishIdea.

  2.

I beg to differ. It looks quite similar.

    It does look very similar.

Aww. The colors are awfully similar. But it’s okay. The sorts of plagiarism we will eventually have to look out for is other sites stealing our articles. This is unfortunately a very popular thing to do on the internet, and often the site stealing content will be larger. This is part of the reason I thought it might be better for people to move critiques off the main site, so in case someone does begin stealing our content they don’t steal someone’s original fiction.

If someone does start that I’m willing to give them the fight of a lifetime though.

    Yay, protective webmaster! Go you!

  3.
I was wondering whether or not to post any future critique requests on the net at all because of that. I'm still not sure. The forums aren't exactly safe, regardless.
Is it okay to post our own articles elsewhere? Would you mind if we posted articles on somewhere like associatedcontent, but not if we put it on out own blogs? Not actually sure what the general attitude to this actually is.

...Anyone wanna count the number of times 'similar' has been mentioned here?
  4.

No offense to Sly, but the color’s not very… special, or original, so I mean… (No worries Sly, you’ve done a much better job than I ever could’ve ;))

It’s fine for any of you to repost your own articles on your blogs. And I hope I haven’t alarmed anyone. :P The kinds of sites that steal content regularly aren’t really in our area, so I’m not really that worried. It’s mostly those crappy humor sites that steal content.

    @ RVL:

SlyShy would like me to tell you that he is very offended. So offended, in fact, that he couldn't face replying here, and had to get me to do it instead.

EDIT: Damn, too quick off the mark there. Sly beat me by 24 seconds.

    Yeah, sure. :P

  6.
    I'm still behind.
  7.

Tell him that I’m eternally desolé and that I hope he won’t stay mad at me forever. ;P

  8.
Sly, RVL's eternally *insert French word* and she hopes you won't stay mad at her forever.

    [I think she's lying]

Five, including the one in the question.

  9.

SLY I LOVE YOU!! (not really) PLEASE FORGIVE ME! Right, happy Steph? ;P

  10.
See, I'm GLAD I whispered this time.

And back away from Sly, okay?

    I mean, uh...

No, I'm not. In fact, I'm male.
(now, this could be taken two ways, since it's Wednesday (right, Spanman?) but rest assured I mean that in a distinctly Italian way)
  11.
Sorry for all the double posts.

    Oh, wait...

Desolé either means ‘sorry’ or ‘desolate’. I hope ‘sorry’, because otherwise that’s such an overreaction. ;-)

  12.

No, I meant it as sorry! :D And no, I don’t love you. (sorry) And no, I’m not a stalker.

  13.
Lol, I know what it means. I was *playing dumb for effect*. I think she really does love you, if she was desolé as in desolate.

    EDIT. AGAIN: *STILL* behind.

This conversation seems to be similar to some of that in other threads, in which people similarly discussed gender and pretended to be asimilar to their actual sex.

  14.
    Male in Italian = ill/bad/bleargh.
  15.

Hey, RVL, Did you become a Mod? If so, Congrats :D

  16.
Lol, I think maybe Sly's got the signatures working.

RVL is indeed a mod. I wasn’t expecting that tagline to be quite so in your face, so for the moment it’s removed again. :P

  17.
    OverlordDan -- Yup. Thanks!

Moldorm -- devilry? I hope not!

Wow you guys, 11 posts in 17 minutes.

  19.
Wow. Status. Bags being a mod now. Hey, Sly, are you listening?

    I’m always listening.*

*Except when I’m gone for hours at a time.

  20.
    Ha, really? </ends sarcasm> ;P
  21.
Okay, Sly. Can I be a mod, purely for status? Like, you get me, I don't want to actually have to DO anything. Just, you know, hang around and let people bask in my glow of extreme mod-ness.

You could petition him to give you pink, just for the aaesthetic benefits.

    It'd make OLD so jealous.
