I gather that it’s a more intense writing site of some sort. But what IS it? I keep seeing references to it, but nothing concrete.

Google says World of Webcams, which would be WOW if Blizzard hadn’t stolen the acronym.
If you think it’s odd that people are obsessed with webcams, you should consider the high number of stalkers and perverts on this site.

Hm? Oh, WW is great. Once it goes up, it’ll really set a lot of things right. Anyway, its about- oh dear, look at that, my tea is ready. I must go enjoy it.

    Google tells me it’s WeightWatchers.

    ...now I’m curious

  2.

Oh, good, I’m not the only one missing out on it then. Just… if we’ve already got II, why do we need ANOTHER site? To keep us serious? Are we going to post stories and get reviews like a very exclusive fictionpress?

    •

WW will be very exclusive, as in, twenty to thirty members.

  3.

So are the constants of II automatically in?

If you belong to IW, is there any point?

...I don’t think so, I think you have to present a piece of writing, like a entrance essay.

So once all the cool kids go to the exclusive club, what happens to the rest of us here?

    I have to agree.^^

I think Sly will try to get SSD and CC back, and I think CC is a actual published author.

CC was a published author, and I haven’t heard from SSD in a while.

  5.

I’ve forgotten who CC was. And why the exclusiveness? Like is there an actual LIMIT to the number of people, or is it just a ‘we need to know you’ thing?

  6.

    I’ve forgotten who CC was.

I doubt Sly would say “Your sample was great, but we have 20 people, so go away.”

It will probably just be the ones from II who care enough to do a sample, and whose samples do not suck.

  14.

Is the theme “Dates when incidents leading to war happened” or somesuch?

Eh. Seven (?) people does not count as a massacre.

If December 7 falls through, aim for February 23rd, the battle of the Alamo!

Come on, it has a John Wayne movie! :D

I vote that WW has purple and pink color theme. Please?

  16.

    insert Godwin’s Law here

How… um… active, will you have to be on WW? I’m terrible with updates and things like that. But I love belonging to places like this for the times when I really really need help. And I like to critique.

  17.

aim for February 23rd, the battle of the Alamo!

Well, as a good Texan I can tell you this doesn’t fit in with the theme, since the war had already been started by the time we kicked Mexico’s ass at the Alamo. The war officially started on October 2nd with the Battle of Gonzales.

Well, yeah, but the Alamo was more memorable. Plus… John Wayne!

Historically, come on! Jim Bowie, Davy Crockett!

I suppose you’re right. Sly, step up the pace! It won’t be symmetrical unless it’s on December 7th! March 5th would be fail. Plus we could start on WW while we’re all on Christmas break and have free time, as opposed to during March when we have finals.

If you want a dark date, try July 1-3. Or July 8. Or August 24. Or, of course, December 25.

Why don’t we go the opposite way and start on a really happy day? March 10th

So is Sly planning to set it up completely independently with no other advertising about it over here? Is that why it’s so hush hush? Because we’re just not meant to know???
