  1.
    Cow? I only see skulls.

But I agree, II looks more professional. Plus, the name ImpishIdea is much cuter than plain 'Twilight Sucks'.
  2.
    Our website is vastly superior.

That said, the website does a good job of clearly explaining the problems with Twilight, albeit in a blunt manner.
  3.
    The skull mouse bugged me.
  4.
    Me too.

Don’t forget we originated from anti-shurtugal. Not at all immature. Teeheehee. ;)

Actually, I’d rather see these guys as allies, rather than enemies. Remember, the enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy, no more no less friend.

  6.
The name of ImpishIdea also allows greater diversity in what we talk about. If you're 'Twilight Sucks' or 'Anti-Shurtugal', your subject matter is pretty limited, no?

Yer, makes to hard to evolve, because eventually these series are going to be forgotten. They aren’t classics.

Heck, I guess it’s true of any fandom. If it has no new material… well, it’s hard to stay alive and attract new members.

  7.
And I just like ImpishIdea. It's alliteration, which makes it awesome!

TwilightSucks seems like a young site, though. I doubt they'll have the equivalent of the EWWs.
  8.
I don't mean to be picky, but ImpishIdea is actually assonance, not alliteration... Sorry, just ignore me! *bows back to her place behind the keyboard*

Uh, it is alliteration, woman. Assonance is when there are similar sounds and patterns within the words. Here is an example I made up:

My old neighbor bought a gold bough, and though it was expensive his wealth surely did grow.

There is rhyme, but also assonance in here: “ough”. Big blue dog is alliteration, but certainly not assonance. Bastard out.

BTW, their website sucks and they would make shitty “allies” or whatever.

  9.
Oops, sorry then! Thanks for the correction.

Okay, my bad. All the similar “o” sounds are assonance, and all the similar structures “ough” are consonance. Alliteration is a specific instantiation of consonance.

ImpishIdea is better, because it has critiquey stuff and criticism of Inheritance and sporkings as well as Twilight.
  10.
Exactly. Like I said, ImpishIdea goes beyond just Twilight.

Also, you can’t do Maradonia sporks on a “Twilight Sucks” website. ;)

EDIT: And… OK, so you hate Twilight. We get that. But publicly and obviously helping people break copyright laws is usually not a good plan… especially in light of TPB losing their trial. Although, have book companies ever really gone after e-book people?

  11.

Well, worst case scenerio, we find out the hard way :/

  12.
    What's TPB?

The Pirate Bay… which I, of course, have never ever ever been to and would never ever ever download anything from…

    opens Bittorrent
looks at looooong list of torrents seeding

    ...never mind.

And what IS the pirate bay?

    @Snow White Queen,

The Pirate Bay is a torrent search engine. Torrents are commonly used to download music and movies illegally, although nothing about torrenting is actually illegal. It’s just another way of downloading.

    Anyways.

    About TwilightSucks

Heh. My thoughts are divided on TwilightSucks. On one hand, I think their website is run by not the ideal owners, and I’ve extended an offer of affiliation/link trade whatever to little effect. They never responded. On the other hand, they have a huge audience. But that’s not something ImpishIdea couldn’t have in a little while (I’m taking us places ;).

On top of that, we have way many advantages. The name is one—it’s way easier to gain legitimacy as ImpishIdea than as TwilightSucks. One is simply more “respectable”. Also, I think our community is a lot nicer, to be honest. TwilightSucks isn’t really a community of writers, just a lot of bored teenagers who don’t like Twilight.

What I recommend doing is having some members join TwilightSucks and browse/post on the forums. If you find someone who is particularly intelligent/wellspoken/thoughtful, then poach them.

  14.
I'm on TS, every so often. Someone has a spork going on there, already, though, so I don't know if she'd want to join. Let's invite nyxabel hawthorn to join...

In general you should invite the coolest people you know—not just everyone you know. We are a little bit exclusive, which I’ll come to dislike on principle, but it works out better in practice. But do link good articles to everyone you know. :P

  15.
Lol I mentioned nyxabel hawthorne as a sarcastic remark. google 'nyxabel hawthorne twilight cousin' and you will see why...

I don't actually know many people there. Drop the 'm' and make that an 'any'. It's not a place I tend to hang around.

The thing is, they pretend they're all high-and-mighty, "We're not here to just plain lob insults at Twilight; we're here to actually make valid points" but just look at the website name.

Apart from that, a lot of their icons are hilarious.
  20.
You could say that the same thing is done here.

Shh, you’re on your path to becoming a complete bastard like me. Stop before it’s too late.

  22.
Oh, don't say that, mate. Perish the thought! Actually, I was thinking that would make me sound like you, but I reallyreally wanted to make a point, so...

(Don't read my comments as Daria, plz. Maybe I should change my icon)

Making an accurate and true observation that people hate hearing is in essence what complete bastards are all about. Better shut your mouth good unless you want to be another pariah.

  23.

I was kidding, by the way. I dare you to change your name to ‘I love Ponies’ and keep it for a day.

  24.

    But I don’t love ponies.

  25.

Aw, come on, you’re just saying that! EVERYONE loves ponies!

  26.

I use BitTorrent frequently, but for perfectly legal purposes. Trust me, it’s possible.

Rolls of quarters work well if you're ever in a street fight. So do guns. Say, maybe we could donate bullets. At very high velocities.

    Or leprechaun gold.

    Or kidneys.
