A place for everyone to discuss the things that are going well in your life...

(Ok, I mostly started this thread just so I could tell everyone that I GOT INTO AN ADVANCED CHOIR!!! Finally, the suspense is over!)
  2.

    Congrats!! :D

  3.
    Thanks.

I was dreading what would happen if I didn't make it, because I'd have to tell basically EVERYONE I KNOW that I didn't get in. Which would have been a tad mortifying.
  4.

I peed in a toilet bowl from 5 feet away.

  5.

I have successfully typed words on a sfhv hvdksan./?

    Aw… D:

  6.
THE MUSICAL IS OVER!!!! And I got to eat tiramisu (how do you spell it in English? Not that I don't speak fluently, I've just never seen it written in the US) today; yum!
  7.
Ah, I love tiramisu! (Now I want some!)
  8.
Well, to dampen my earlier comment, I was also forced to eat American pizza. Ew. I'm not trying to be a snob (no that I'm succeeding in my task *wince*) but I do live in France. Jeez, people have no taste... Sorry to those who love Pizza Hut. ;)
  9.

Heh, I used to work there. I’m glad that you survived :D

  10.
Did you get drowned in grease? Well, seeing as you're posting something on a forum, I highly doubt it, but did you at least slip on any grease while you worked there?
  11.

Yes, and the smell of a spilled grease bucket is something to fear.

    The horror o.0

See! And people wonder why I didn’t tell them I was applying to go back to uni. Or that I was leaving to go travelling (mind, one person has a right to be irked at that, I went around her house three days before I left to tell her).

Just, you have to be sure yourself, first. :/

SWQ, we are on the Same Level.

  12.
Oh gosh, that reminds me, congrats on getting in, Snow White Queen! Not to sound stalkerish, but I can tell you've been preparing for a while, so wicked job.
  13.
    Thanks, guys!

(I've never had PizzaHut pizza recently. My favorite pizza place is California Pizza Kitchen. They have AWESOME tiramisu!!)
  14.

I like PizzaHut you fucking snobs.

  15.
Last time I was there was a long, long, long time ago. Now we get Costco pizza! (Haha, we're so gourmet)
  16.

At any rate I use a fork and knife when I order Davanni’s.

Be careful to avoid glitter until you get it off. You could be mistaken for a Meyerpire and burned for heresy!

Pfft, that’s not the coloration of your skin, that’s the flush of fresh blood in your system. :P

Meyer’s vampires are actually about the first ones I’ve seen where the vampires look less corpse like after a fresh kill.

Dracula is great. Freaky, well maybe, it is a vampire novel after all (back when that meant something). Sexual, I don’t know, I guess a bit.

  29.
Hmm... I should try it out. Any other suggestions for vampire books? The only decent one I've read is My Swordhand is Swinging by Marcus Sedgewick. It was rather juvenile though...

    Yay! Done with exams!

Oh, and this is more of a phail than a w!n, but here goes anyway:

So I’m home alone for lunch, right? And I look in the fridge and go “Ooo! One last bagel and pepperoni! I’ll make a mini-pizza!” So I get out all the stuff and pop the bagel in the toaster. I’m waiting for the toaster to pop up and all of a sudden I smell this funny smell, like cinnamon sugar or something. But I shrug it off to my imagination or someone making something else in the toaster or whatever.

Then my bagel pops up. I gleefully leap for it, ready to spread delicious pizza sauce and yummy pepperoni and… wonderful? cheese on top. Only to find out it was a cinnamon raisin bagel instead. sigh C’est la vie.

When you finish a length, instead of touching the edge of the pool and simply turning around, you do a full body flip and kick off with your legs. You get a faster start that way and your swimming is far more smooth and stylish.
