Prophets by A.C. Newman. I found it in How I Met Your Mother’s season four finale. It was awesome beyond belief.

  54.

Last Night on Earth by Green Day

During the show yesterday, Billie Joe performed it on stage by himself on acoustic guitar. It was so nice and relaxing.

  55.

Last Night on Earth by Green Day

I love that song even though it isn’t very “Green Day.” How was the concert, by the way?

  56.

AWESOME! We were right on the barricade, and you could actually see their faces. And they had cannons shooting out confetti, pyrotechnics, blasts of fire, showers of sparks, water guns, this weird device that shoots out toilet paper…Green Day puts on an awesome show. And they had this gigantic screen with images that corresponded to the different songs…

Yeah, I think it was the best concert I’ve ever been to. Not like I’ve been to many, but it’s number one. (Evanescence is number two- it was my first concert, and the show was really great, but Green Day just reaches a whole other level with audience involvement and the stage show.)

To further the Green Day mood- 21 Guns

My sister hates this song, but I think it’s one of the better ones on 21st Century Breakdown. Definitely better than Know The Enemy.

  57.

That sounds like a sweet concert. What didn’t you like about “Know the Enemy?” I thought the lyrics were kind of ‘egh.’

  58.

It’s not the lyrics so much as the fact that it’s the same melody over and over and over again. It’s nice and catchy, but not enough to build a whole song without adding something more. Either they should have developed it more fully, or smushed a lot of little songs together into several ‘movements’, a la Jesus of Suburbia. The song East Jesus Nowhere is a better song in terms of developing the catchy riff.

    Space-Dye Vest: Dream Theater

My favorite DT song! I want to learn the piano part, but since I can’t sing it (it’s too low for me, for once, which is surprising, considering it’s James LaBrie) there’s not much point.

  59.
