I’m trying to get into new Evanescence…Amy’s voice is as great as ever, but I’m just not falling in love with the music for some reason. It doesn’t feel like anything new or interesting. I don’t know, maybe it’ll grow on me.

  4.

I got up in the middle of the night last night, so I listened to The Memory of Trees (but veeeery quietly so as not to wake my friend!). I think it helped in putting me back to sleep?

I’d forgotten how much I like Enya. Haha, such a geek :P

    Sometimes you wanna go
    Where everybody knows your name
And they’re always glad you came
You wanna be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same,
You wanna be where everybody knows your name.

Nah, I’m from America. I like environmentalism as in don’t turn Earth into a giant parking lot. I’m not fond of radical environmentalism (the flavor that tells me I need to kill myself for the good of the planet), I think green products are generally a waste of time, I cordially disagree with PETA. So we may or may not be in opposition.

    Opeth

OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU FOREVER. They are one of my favorite bands! I saw them live a few years ago and it was absolutely an amazing concert. Have you ever heard Katatonia? If you like Damnation I would recommend their newer albums. Plus, the vocalists are apparently best friends, which I think is adorable. They were touring last month together, but I wasn’t able to get in because I’m under 18 by a few months. I’m still mad.

Yeah, I’m kind of nuts about Opeth. :D

They like everything except what they think other people like, except those people are hipsters so they dislike that and then pretty soon it is cool to like anything and everything and everybody will be hipsters and there will be no levels of fashionable hobbies.
It’s currently someone’s “Gypsy Melodies.” In A Minor.

  28.

They like everything except what they think other people like

Um, I don’t think it’s exactly groundbreaking to consider Bach great music, considering they’ve been doing it since the Baroque era, but okay. I don’t understand hipsters.

    Neither do I.
I like Linkin Park’s older, rap/electro stuff better than their newer stuff. Like Session, and Hit the Floor. I also like Era’s Ameno, randomly.

  29.

Someone on cracked explained hipsters thusly:
“If you, for example, wear Woody Allen glasses – because you think they look cool – you’re just a person who wears Woody Allen glasses. But if you wear Woody Allen glasses because you think they look stupid, you’re a hipster.”

So basically they do everything “ironically”.
