First Elizabeth Taylor, now Diana Wynne Jones.

I only got into her work with Howl’s Moving Castle within the past year, but I loved her writing. I’ll definitely miss her.

I’m tearing up now. She was one of my major influences, and I can see a tiny bit of her in nearly everything I’ve ever written.

...my gosh, I think I’m about to start crying for real…

Very, very sad. I didn’t know she was that old. Howl’s Moving Castle definitively changed my writing style, and like Steph said, I see some of her in practically everything I write.

... Sad. She honestly left behind an amazing legacy.

Oh no! That’s really sad…I loved her two Derkholm books. I’ll have to go back and read them again now.

I’m revisiting this thread and beginning to cry again. I read Charmed Life yesterday.
